On Sep 25, 2023, deputies arrested Mark Anthony Hutson after warrants were taken from a string of incidents that started Sep 22, 2023, on Curd Cemetery Road. The first victim stated Hutson came to her residence and took her vehicle keys after repeatedly harassing and threatening her. He had also been ordered to not have contact with the victim by the Calloway County courts due to a previous case. On Sep 24, 2023, a separate victim reported that Hutson had taken her vehicle without her permission from Hopkins Road. The investigation led deputies to the vehicle, and it was believed that the illicit drugs located in the vehicle belonged to Hutson. He was located later, arrested on the warrants, and lodged at the Calloway County Detention Facility on the below listed charges.
Hutson was out on bond from an indictment in March of 2022 where he was accused of storage unit burglaries. During this investigation he was also accused of tampering with a witness in the case. The bond of $5,000 was set by the court after this arrest. He stayed incarcerated until July 2023, approximately 17 months. He was released on his own recognizance supervised by Probation and Parole until the next court review scheduled in November 2023.
Hutson has an extensive criminal history including an arrest for theft, drugs and handgun charges that have not been fully adjudicated in court yet. Along with being found guilty of Fleeing 1st Deg, Possession of Methamphetamine 1st Offense and Tampering with Physical Evidence in 2018 and Assault 2nd Degree in 2012.
