Mrs. Janice Faye Korstad, 77, of Aurora, KY, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2023 at her home.
Mrs. Korstad was born on January 12, 1946 in Birmingham, AL. Oftentimes, you’d find Janice swinging under and old oak tree surrounded by her beautiful flowers. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Korstad; her mother, Lela Burkeen York; two brothers, James Carver, Gene Sweet and one great grandchild, Phoenix Devine.
Those left to cherish many wonderful memories include three sons, Dan Thompson (Debra) of Osage Beach, MO, Keith Thompson (Bridgette) of Hardin, Scott Thompson (fiance, Jennifer McCoy) of Murray; a sister, Norma Baird (Paul) of Aurora; five grandchildren, Chrystal, Danielle, Jordan, Morgan, Hailey, as well as, 13 great grandchildren. In addition, she leaves behind a special companion of 18 years, Mr. Harold Hooten of Union City, TN.
The graveside service honoring Mrs. Janice Faye Korstad is set for 1:30 pm on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at Unity Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Ronnie Burkeen will officiate.
Her family welcomes visitors from 11 am until 1 pm at Imes Funeral Home, 311 North 4th Street, Murray.
