
The Lady Marshals played two games on Saturday in the Daviess County Classic and finished with a tie and a loss.
In the first game of the day, the Lady Marshals game ended in a 1-1 tie against Boyle County. Presley Gallimore scored eight minutes in and it would the only goal of the game for the Lady Marshals. Boyle County tied it early in the second half on a goal by freshman Mia Kilby and that’s where it remained until the final whistle. Goalkeeper Phoebe Ramsey had six saves for the Lady Marshals.
In their second game of the day against Owensboro Catholic, it was 0-0 at halftime before the Lady Aces struck first with a goal just one minute into the second half. The Lady Marshals tied the game up on a goal by Chaney Green. Owensboro Catholic took a 2-1 lead on a penalty kick that held up for the win. Ramsey finished with eight saves.
The JV Lady Marshals won both of their games on Saturday. They beat Boyle County 3-1 and 6-0 over Owensboro Catholic.
Up next, the Lady Marshals will play a double header with the Marshals on Tuesday at Graves County.
