Pickleball players went to The Club at UK’s Spindletop Hall in Lexington to participate in the pickleball event of the 2023 Bluegrass State Games July 28-30. This was a Round Robin style event played on 18 pickleball courts. With 421 entries over three days, players brought home eight medals, four Gold and four Bronze.
Gold Medal Winners:
Cody Dalton and Landon Wilson – 4.0 Men’s Doubles 40 & Under
Steve Shidal and Carl Marquess – 3.5 Men’s Doubles 35-49
Bronze Medal Winners:
Holly Locken and Sara Darling – 4.0 Women’s Doubles 50+
Holly Locken and Carl Marquess – 4.0 Mixed Doubles 50+
