
LYON COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE MEDIA RELEASE
- On Friday, July 7th, 2023, at 3:30pm, Sheriff Brent White recognized a person who was in the courthouse and who was the subject of an arrest warrant. He arrested Trista E. Hale (25) of Princeton and charged her with a Failure to Appear bench warrant out of Caldwell District Court. She was lodged in the Caldwell County Jail with a cash bond of $4,837.92.
- On Monday, July 10th, 2023, at 9:17am, deputies charged Larry E. Foster (43) of Stearns on three (3) indictment warrants from Pulaski Circuit Court where he stands accused of Burglary-2nd Degree (residence), Theft by Unlawful Taking (less than $10,000) and Persistent Felony Offender I.
- On Tuesday, July 11th, 2023, beginning at 9:53am, deputies charged Jeffery L. Skiles (61) of Sassafras on two (2) bench warrants from Knott District Court. Skiles was charged with Failure to Appear or Pay in both cases. They also charged Jason D. Johnson (49) of Franklin with a Failure to Appear bench warrant out of Simpson District Court.
- On Wednesday, July 12th, 2023, around 10:16am, deputies charged Jacob A. Estep (36) of Sandy Hook with an indictment warrant from Christian Circuit Court where he stands accused of Sexual Abuse-1st Degree (victim under 12 years of age).
- On Thursday, July 13th, 2023, around 7:25am, Sheriff’s Office personnel were called upon to assist Kentucky State Police (KSP) Troopers who had attempted to stop a blue Mitsubishi SUV on I-24 West bound. The driver of the vehicle fled from the Trooper and exited off the West bound off-ramp at Exit 45 before disregarding the stop sign and nearly colliding with a Chevrolet truck before impacting the raised concrete median and losing his driver’s side front wheel. After the collision, the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot carrying two bags.
Witnesses provided information to law enforcement concerning the direction of travel the suspect fled to. A KSP Trooper saw the suspect on foot flee into a ditch line and called for assistance. Troopers and Sheriff’s personnel established a perimeter in a field area off KY 293 and the suspect was apprehended a short time later. Further investigation led to the seizure of multiple items of evidence including the bags the suspect fled with from the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Anthony I. Williams (40) of Brooklyn Center, MN. He was charged by KSP with numerous traffic offenses including driving 116mph in a 70mph zone, Fleeing/Evading Police-1st Degree (motor vehicle & on foot) as well as Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident. He was also found to possess illegal narcotics, ammunition and a .357 handgun he had attempted to discard during the foot pursuit.
In addition, Williams was a wanted fugitive from the Minnesota Department of Corrections where he violated parole for a Murder-2nd Degree conviction and he was wanted from Minneapolis, MN for Possession of Ammo/Any Firearm-Conviction or Adjudicated Delinquent for a Crime of Violence. He was also charged with being a Fugitive from Justice for these offenses. Williams was lodged in the Crittenden County Detention Center.
- On Friday, July 14th, 2023, around 4:10pm, Sheriff Brent White and Eddyville Police Department Officers went to a local business and located William R. Taylor (41) of Princeton. Taylor was arrested by Sheriff White and charged on a Caldwell County complaint warrant with Kidnapping a Minor. He was arrested without incident and turned over to the Princeton Police Department and later lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
