William David Cobb, 75, of Gilbertsville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023 at his place of residence.
William was born in California to the late Mary Blackburn on August 5, 1947. He served this country proudly while in the Navy and fought in the Vietnam War. After retiring from the Navy, William worked in human resources at an employment office. He was known for his wit and sense of humor and enjoyed telling jokes and stories to those ready to listen. William had a passion for music and with that, the ability to play several different instruments. His other hobbies included flying airplanes and boating at Kentucky Lake.
William is survived by his wife of almost twenty five years, Sandra Cobb; one daughter, Pam Larue; two sons, David Cobb and Mark Cobb; one sister, Robyn Blessings; and one brother, Kevin Cobb.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Blackburn; and one sister, Beverly Johnson.
Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr is in charge of the arrangements.
