
Calvert City Pickleball players were busy over the weekend playing in Jackson, Tenn. at The Hub City Bring on Spring Pickleball Tournament and in Louisville playing at Tom Sawyer State Park in the World Pickleball Tour Louisville Challenger April 14-16. By winning Gold in 3.0 Men’s Singles at the WPT in Louisville, Peter David John qualified for an automatic ticket to the WPT 2024 National Championships to be held in Dallas, Texas. John and his partner also played 3.0 Mixed Doubles and won Bronze in Louisville.
With 190 entries in Jackson and 262 in Louisville, players competed in Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles and Mixed Doubles. Between the two tournaments, 16 players from Calvert City, Benton and Murray brought home 17 medals, 6 Gold, 5 Silver and 6 Bronze medals.
