Work zone active from 7 a.m., to 3 p.m., Monday
PADUCAH, Ky. (April 14, 2023) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) plans a daytime work zone lane restriction on Interstate 24 westbound in McCracken County on Monday, April 17, 2023.
The westbound lanes of I-24 will be restricted to one lane near the 11 mile marker to allow erosion mitigation work along the shoulder. A substantial washout has undermined the shoulder at mile point 11.3 near the KY 1954/Husbands Road Paducah Exit 11 Interchange.
All traffic will move to the left-hand or passing lane this work zone.
Westbound motorists should be prepared to encounter slowing and merging traffic as they approach the 11 mile marker.
This work zone lane restriction is expected to be active from 7 a.m., to 3 p.m., CDT, on Monday.
Some delays are possible during the movement and placement of equipment to facilitate the work.
Appropriate caution is required where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow.
