Derek Joseph Baier, 32, of Bardstown, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee.
Derek was born on October 26, 1990 to his late father, Joe Baier and mother Michelle Mathis Williams.
He was a Marshall County High School graduate who loved sports. He played football and was a Louisville Cardinal fan. Fishing and time at the lakes were some of his favorite past times and he enjoyed any time spent with his family and friends.
Derek is survived by his wife, Whitney Baier; one daughter, Kinlee; four sons, Harlan, Jaylen, Jackson and Kamden; mother, Michelle Mathis Williams; two sisters; Sierra Baier-Carr and Hannah Horne and two brothers, Gage Baier and Jake Williams.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Baier; grandparents, Howard Baier, Vicky Baier, Hank Mathis and Barb Mathis.
A private memorial service will be held to honor the life of Derek.
