Juanita McManus Shepperd, 91, of Symsonia, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Juanita was born in Cookeville, Tennessee to the late Virgil and Beulah Carter McCaleb on December 31, 1931. She loved flowers and being outdoors while camping at Hillman Ferry. She also enjoyed bluegrass music and attending any nearby bluegrass festivals. Juanita was a member of Clarks River Baptist Church.
Juanita is survived by two sons, David McManus (Deana) and Randy McManus (Lisa) both of Symsonia, Kentucky; five grandchildren, Caleb McManus, Shelby Rudolph, Caitlin Hamilton, Ty McManus, and Levi McManus; five great grandchildren, Ansley Hamilton, Holden McManus, Bryer Hargrove, Emerlynne McManus, and Stella Rudolph; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vastine McManus; second husband, Willie Shepperd; one sister, Geraldine Collingsworth; and her parents.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to The Clarks River Cemetery Fund, 12457 State Route 131, Symsonia, Kentucky 42082.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. Mike Farmer and Bro. Rodney Gamble officiating. Burial will follow at Clarks River Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
