Kentucky Teacher of the Year Mandy Perez will be the guest speaker for this year’s Marshall County Female Leadership Forum, Thursday, March 30th, 2023. Perez is a 6th grade English and Language Arts teacher in Crittenden County.
This year’s forum, organized by MCHS leadership students, is at White Oak Barn at 215 Chumbler Road, Benton, Kentucky. It will run from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm. Perez will speak around 10 am.
Approximately 20 female leadership students at the high school have been planning the forum for several months… focusing on food, decor, activities and arranging for the speaker.
In attendance will be around 150 girls in grades 4-12 who have been identified in some area of giftedness ranging from all subject areas to fine arts to leadership. There will also be about 30 adult female guests whom the students have invited who are either leaders within the school district or
the Marshall County community.
The adults will arrive around lunch to eat with the girls and share their pathways to leadership and talk with the girls about what it means to be a female leader.
