The 115th Milrose Games will take place at The Armory in New York City on Saturday. Cade Flatt, former Marshall County track and field athlete and current University of Mississippi freshman, will be the only collegiate athlete among the professional runners in the 800 meters.

Cade will compete against the best middle-distance runners in the world, including former Olympians, national champions, national record holders and the defending Millrose champion Bryce Hoppel of the U.S. He is one of four Americans in the field of eight lining up for the 800 meters.

One of the best ever high school athletes in U.S. history to run the 800 meters, Cade came within three hundreds of a second with a time of 1:46.58 from breaking the all-time 800 meter U.S. record of 1:46.45 set in 1996 by Michael Granville.

This will be his first competition of the indoor season after suffering from an ankle injury.

Watch the meet live on Saturday, Feb. 11 on NBC from 3:00-5:00. It can also be streamed on Peacock.
