Mr. Kenny Mark Hargrove, age 66 of Murray, KY, passed away on Sunday, February 5 2023, at his home.
Born January 15, 1957, in Flint, MI, he was the son of the late Marcus Greer and Betty Sue (Kimbro) Hargrove. Mr. Hargrove was a retired self-employed Master Electrician and also retired from General Tire in Mayfield, KY. An avid fisherman, Kenny was always happiest when he was outdoors. After retirement, Kenny worked with special needs families and found a new passion working with the Special Olympics. He was a member of Eastwood Baptist Church, Murray, KY, and loved his church family.
Kenny was born in Flint, MI but moved as a young boy to Murray, KY, where he attended Calloway County High School. In October of 1974 he joined the United States Navy, where he honorably served his country aboard the aircraft carrier, USS America. He was stationed at Oceana Naval Air Station in Virginia Beach, VA, and earned an associate’s degree while enlisted.
Mr. Hargrove is survived by his children, Dustin Hargrove of Las Vegas, NV, Rob Hathcock, wife Summer of Marietta, GA, Kenneth Hathcock, wife Heather of Murray, KY, and Darrell Hargrove of Mayfield, KY; siblings, Linda Farris, husband Bill of Murray, KY, Ricky Hargrove, wife Debbie of Almo, KY, and Steve Hargrove, wife Carrie of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Olivia Hathcock, Nash Hathcock, Sutton Hathcock, Xavier Hargrove, Kace Hargrove, Abigail Hathcock and Sydnee Hathcock. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Teresa Gail Hargrove.
Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, February 9, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home with Pastor Andy Harrell officiating. Burial will follow the service in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Murray, KY.
Friends may visit with the family after 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023, until the service hour at 1:00 p.m., at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home, 713 South 4th St., Murray, KY 42071.
