
Joyce “Betty” Dycus, 83 of Benton, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2022 at Lakeway Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Betty was born on May 31, 1939 to the late Robert and Tennie Carter in Humphreys County, Tennessee. For 15 years, she worked as a hostess at the Kentucky Dam Village alongside some very dear friends. She was a member of Altona Baptist Church and previously a member of Bible Baptist Church in Tennessee. She had a love for gospel music and enjoyed singing in the choir and singing special music at church. More than anything Betty loved God and all her family very much.
Betty is survived by her three sons, Kevin Dycus (Brenda) of Benton, Kentucky, Dennis Dycus (Debbie) of Calvert City, Kentucky, Robert Douglas Dycus (Debbie) of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; and five grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther C. Dycus, Jr.; two sisters, Dorothy Talarico and Louise Dabiskiba; three brothers, George Carter, James Carter, and Carl Carter.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. Rob Bratcher officiating. Burial will follow at Fooks Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
