Mr. Larry Guthrie, age 75, of Paducah, formerly of Mayfield, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023 at his residence.
He was a retired employee of Big Lots.
Mr. Guthrie is survived by his wife, Reta Phillips Guthrie; three sons, Kent (Amanda) Guthrie of Mayfield, KY, Joe (Keile) Phillips of Benton, KY and Mike Phillips of Nashville, TN; one brother, Gilliam Guthrie of Mayfield, KY; four sisters-in-law, Ida Guthrie of Dyersburg, TN, Sheila (Allan) Box of Paducah, KY, Jennifer “Sassie” Peck of Paducah, KY and Jeana Phillips of Livingston County, KY; one brother-in-law, Junior (Beverly) Phillips of Nevada; ten grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Kelly Lisanby; one sister, Minnie Rose Guthrie; three brothers, Howard Guthrie, Harold “Sonny” Guthrie and E. C. “Jr.” Guthrie; one foster brother, Raymond Stroud; and his parents, E. C. “Jack” Guthrie and Annie Morefield Rogers.
Funeral services for Mr. Larry Guthrie will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Kent Price and Donald Coltharp will officiate. Interment will follow at Dixon Cemetery in Grand Rivers, KY.
Pallbearers will be Carson Guthrie, Connor Guthrie, Zack Lisanby, Derrick Lisanby, Ricky Box and Austin Peck. Honorary pallbearers will be Makenzee Guthrie, Alivia Stewart, Maci Phillips, Whitney Phillips, Lia England, Savannah Phillips, Luke Phillips, Tylin England and Tysen England.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
