Calvert City Pickleball players went to Carbondale, Ill. to participate in the Saluki Indoor Tournament January 13-15. With 151 entries over three days on 12 indoor courts, 17 players from far Western Kentucky brought home nine medals; 3 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze medals.
Events included 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, and 4.0 singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. Players agreed it was one of the best ran tournaments with some extremely good competition. Brent Thompson and Todd Dotson even defeated a former NBA player and his partner. What a great tournament for some of our newer players bringing home medals.
