Julia “Julie” Marie Dunn, 87, of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Julie was born in Marshall County on March 5, 1935 to the late Uriah Cope and Nannie Thweatt Cope. She was of the church of Christ faith.
She is survived by her four daughters, Anita Driskill (Gary), Kathy Frizzell (Joel), Jan Borders, all of Benton and Donna Cullen (Mike) of Calvert City; one brother, Raymond “Jamup” Cope of Union Town, KY; nine grandchildren, Chad Driskill, Chaney Chambers, Brett Borders, Emma Borders, Melissa Halsted, Aaron Cullen, Andrew Cullen, Heather Carroway, Holly Sharp; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, David Lester Copeland; her second husband, Tom Dunn; four brothers, Willliam Cope, Paul Cope, Claude Cope and Harry Cope; four sisters, Lucille Barrett, Ada Beadot Story, Susie Belle Faith and Altie Norman; and her parents.
A funeral service for Julie will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Collier Funeral Home with Gary Knuckles officiating. Interment will follow at Dees Cemetery in Calvert City, KY.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM service time on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the funeral home.
