Dorothy Nell Hogancamp Evans, 79, of Bardwell, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Countryside Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Bardwell.
Dorothy was born in Cairo, Illinois on June 30, 1943 to the late Joseph and Eleanor Jones Hogancamp. She was a member of Mississippi Baptist Church in Bardwell. Dorothy was an incredible cook who loved to prepare dishes for church, family and friends. She also enjoyed spending her free time sewing. Dorothy will always be remembered by her family as being the most loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Dorothy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Walter Blanton Evans; one daughter, Tammie Edwards of Bardwell; one son, Steve (Erin) Evans of Metropolis, Illinois; five grandchildren, Brittany (Lucas) Perez of Bardwell, Jami (Julio) Vela of Bardwell, Blaine (Derrick) Galloway of Bardwell, Jonathan Evans of Metropolis, Illinois and Issac Evans of Metropolis, Illinois; and eight great-grandchildren, Koltyn Perez, Kasen Perez, Karlee Perez, Kade Perez, Kaidance Vela, Karmine Vela, Anzley Galloway and Myla Galloway.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Joe Hogancamp; her sister, June Hinkle; great nephew, Adam Garnett; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Bro. Shane Davenport and Bro. Mark Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the service time of 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
