
Mrs. Bettye Jane Wilson Guthrie, age 84, of Mayfield passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.
She was a longtime member of High Point Baptist Church and a retired Circuit Court Deputy Clerk having served for 30 years.
Mrs. Guthrie is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gilliam F. Guthrie; one son, Tim (Carla) Guthrie of Lexington, KY; one brother, Ronnie (Tina) Wilson of Mayfield, KY; three grandchildren, Kyle Harshman, of Mayfield, KY, Kaci (Cody) Hammonds of Mayfield, KY and Cole Guthrie of Lexington,KY; and one great grandson, Hudson Hammonds.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Krista Denise Guthrie Harshman; one sister, Merita “Reto” Hendon; and her parents, Bill and Thelma Boyd Wilson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bettye Jane Wilson Guthrie will be 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Don Embry will officiate. Interment will follow at Highland Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jay Daniel Shultz, Josh Wilson, Dakota Ray, Ethan Delapp, Carson Guthrie, Fletcher Anderson and Wade Anderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Kent Youngblood, Ronnie Wilson, Bro. Charlie Simmons, Keith Haygood, Ray Hendon, Joe Kimbel, Don Oldham, Curt Shultz, Larry Guthrie, Mitch Guthrie, David Guthrie, Andrew Shultz and Cliff Guthrie.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at the funeral home.
