Mrs. Yolanda Hogue Watt, age 72 years, 11 months, 20 days, of Mayfield, KY passed away October 20, 2022 in Murray, Kentucky. She was a native of Caruthersville, Pemiscot County, Missouri. Yolanda was born on October 27, 1949, at her parents’ home in Caruthersville, Missouri. She was the daughter of Cleveland Francis Hogue and Mildred Grigory Hogue who preceded her in death.

She enjoyed playing the piano and attended Girl Scouts in her youth and was a graduate of Caruthersville High School, Class of 1967. During her high school years she was a member of the Harlequins and won the Stage Crew Award, Future Home Makers of America, Girls Glee Club, and Library Club. All her classmates call her Yogi and even today Yo.
James Michael Watt and Yolanda Hogue were joined in Holy Matrimony on the 8 May 1970 at the Eastwood United Methodist Church in Caruthersville, Missouri. They had been married for 52 years. She worked for Brown Shoe Company in Caruthersville, Charleston, Missouri, and Clinton, Kentucky. Afterwards, a jean factory in Fulton, Kentucky. While living in Fulghum, Kentucky she was a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. They moved to Mayfield, Kentucky to be closer to their work in 1979. Yolanda and Mike started  West Kentucky Woodcraft and were members of the Silver Dollar City Craftsman Guild. Girl Scouting stuck with her through the years as a leader in Wingo, Kentucky. She worked 22 years in the bakery department for Walmart in Mayfield, Kentucky, where she retired from after COVID19 became rampant.
Yolanda is survived by her husband James Michael Watt of Mayfield, Kentucky, Daughters Angela Watt Jackson and Sara Watt Hobbs of Mayfield, KY. A Sister, Kay Hogue Dowdle and husband Randy, of Florence, Mississippi, and brother, Donald    Howard Johnson of Finger, Tennessee, a sister in law Janice Watt Haller and husband Tim of San Antonio, Texas. She has 6 grandchildren, Abigail Jackson, Alora and William Hobbs, Amelia & Sophia Readenour, and James Daniel Watt. 2 Nieces; Kimberly Dowdle and Sonya Bond. 2 Nephews; Robert and Richard Dowdle.
Memorial services for Mrs. Yolanda Hogue Watt will be 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY.  Rev. Michael Farmer will officiate.
Visitation will be 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers a voluntary donation in her memory/name be made to: Anna Mae Owens Hospice House, 803 Poplar St., Murray, KY 42071. This Hospice was above extraordinary in their care and attention they gave Yolanda.
