Darrell Lynn English, age 76, of Boaz, KY, died Monday, October 17, 2022, at Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, KY. Mr. English worked maintenance at Long Concrete before retirement. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and a member of D.A.V.
He was the son of the late Brady Lynn English and the late Stella Rae (Egner) English. He was also preceded in death by his wife: Linda Mae (Moore) English; one son: William Todd Howe; four brothers: Charles, Donnie, Robert, and Newell English; one sister: Dolores Stanley; and two grandchildren.
He is survived by four daughters: Misty Gowen of Boaz, KY, Lorrie Herzog of Hickory, KY, Melinda Cooper of Lexington, KY, and Virginia Carter of Mayfield, KY; one brother: David English, eighteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by Collier Funeral Home, Benton, KY where the family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, October 21, 2022. Funeral service will be at Collier Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM, Friday, October 21, 2022, with Bro. Wayne Berry officiating. Interment with military rites will follow at Hamlet Cemetery, Benton, KY.
