Lady Marshals second after first round of State Golf Championship

After the first round of the KHSAA Girls State Golf Championship, the Lady Marshals trail first place Madison Central by seven strokes. Madison Central finished the day at +32 (320) and the Lady Marshals are +39 (327).

Trinity Beth leads the field going into tomorrow’s final round with an even par 72. Beth had a steady round of pars with the exception of one birdie on #4 and one bogey on #5 at Bowling Green Country Club. Lyon County’s Cathryn Brown is just one stroke back at 1-over 73. Three players are tied for third at 4-over.

CeCelia Ray finished today’s round with an 8-over par 80 in a tie for 17th, Katie Roberts shot 85 and is tied at 37th, Skylar Waller’s round of 90 puts her in a tie for 56th and Elsie Riley is tied for 62nd with a round of 91.
