Mary Elizabeth Thoms of Metropolis, Il. born in Red Bud, IL. Passed away Saturday September 10, 2022 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, TN.
She is survived by four daughters, Karyn Canup, Chloe Canup and Lillian McCutcheon and Madeline McCutcheon. Her mother, Marie Thoms. One brother, Fred Thoms and boyfriend Joshua Riley. One aunt Linda Thoms. Uncles, Art (Ruth) Rabe. Albert Rabe (Tina) and Aunt Renda Rabe. And serveral cousins
Mary was employed at Parkview Nursing and Rehab for several years and she was currently employed at Southgate Nursing and Rehab. in Metropolis as director of social services.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Thoms. Grandparents, Andy and Annie Thoms and Marie Rabe Egbert, and Harold Rabe and cousin Janel Rabe and Tammy Mifflin Howard, Aunt Carolyn Thoms . Uncles Andreas Thoms and Ralph Rabe.
Friends may visit with the family from 5 p.m, to 7 p.m. Friday September 16. 2022 at Lindsey Funeral Home. With Funeral services to follow at 7 p.m. The Rev. Ronnie Stinson Jr. officiating.
There is no burial.
