
Martha Ann Hicks, of Arlington, formerly of Crittenden County, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at ICF in Clinton, Kentucky at the age of 96.
She was born on November 13, 1925 in Arlington, Kentucky to the late Charlie and EthaBelle Moss.
Martha was an avid golfer, florist, council member and Mayor of Crittenden, Kentucky. She served as a Council Member for 10 years and Mayor for 8 years. Martha was also a Kentucky Colonel and member of the Order of Confederate Rose Kate Moss Camp. She was active in her church, Crittenden Baptist Church, as well as, her community of Crittenden, Kentucky and Grant County.
She is survived by her nephews, Gene Bolin, Gobel Holder and Dale Holder; four great-nephews; three great-nieces, three great great-nieces and one great great-nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Elzie “June” Hicks; son, Terry Moss Hicks; sister, Betty Holder; brother, John Luther Moss; parents, Charlie and EthaBelle Moss; two nieces, Judy Holder and Kim Holder; and nephew, Mitchell Bolin.
A funeral service for Martha will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington with Debbie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM service time on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Arlington.
