Four men – one from Paducah and the other three from Arizona – were arrested Wednesday afternoon in possession of a large amount of fentanyl tablets.
Paducah drug detectives were conducting surveillance Wednesday afternoon on a house in the 2800 block of Trimble Street where suspected illegal drug activity was occurring. They saw a vehicle leaving the residence, and a traffic stop was conducted.
PPD K9 Bary and his handler, Officer Benjamin Anthony, were requested, and Bary indicated the presence of illegal drugs in the vehicle. During a search, detectives found a box containing five separate bags of fentanyl pills – approximately 5,000 pills weighing more than a pound, with a street value of about $100,000.
The four occupants of the vehicle, Jujuan V. Freeman, Jacorion White, Mathew O. Phifer and Seth G. Martin, were arrested. Freeman was in possession of more than $3,000 cash.
A search warrant was obtained for the home on Trimble Street. There, detectives found a smaller amount of fentanyl tablets and $15,000 cash.
The four men were charged with aggravated trafficking in a controlled substance and booked into McCracken County Regional Jail.
