Hiter joins KHEAA as outreach counselor for Marshall County

FRANKFORT, Ky. (July 29, 2022) — Robin Hiter has joined the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority as the outreach counselor for Marshall County.

“I graduated from Calloway County High School, so this is the region I have always called home. I’m looking forward to joining with teachers and administrators, students and parents to help students pursue their goals after they graduate from high school,” Hiter said. “As a first-generation college graduate, I understand the struggle of trying to figure out how to pay for postsecondary education. My goal is to help all students in the region understand they have financial options to help them achieve their goals, whether that be going through a traditional university, community college or certificate program.”

Hiter has a bachelor’s degree from Mid-Continent University in psychology and counseling. She has worked as a financial aid administrator and most recently managed an off-campus student housing apartment complex in Murray.

“We are so pleased to have Robin join the KHEAA Outreach team in far western Kentucky,” KHEAA Director of Outreach Kim Dolan said. “She has a passion for this work, and her background and professional experience will make her an excellent resource for the students and families of the region.”
