Trinity Beth first, Lady Marshals win Marshall County Invitational

Trinity Beth tees off on the first hole at Calvert City County Club. Beth shot 5-under par to earn Medalist honors at the Marshall County Invitational.

Trinity Beth finished 5-under par to shoot the low round of the day to take the individual win on Tuesday at the Marshall County Invitational held at Calvert City Country Club. Beth’s round of 67 led the Lady Marshals to the team title as well with a score of 309.

They won by 37 strokes over second place South Warren with a team score of 346. Bowling Green placed third with 348, Madisonville-North Hopkins fourth with 360 and fifth went to Murray with a score of 370.

Lyon County’s Cathryn Brown finished runner-up with a 2-under par 70.

The Lady Marshals head to Weissinger Hills Golf Course in Shelbyville on Thursday to play in the Lady Rocket Invitational.
