The two-time defending state champion Lady Marshals golf team opened the 2022 season on Monday with a win at the South Warren’s Lady Spartan Invitational at Park Mammoth Golf Club. The team shot 305 to take the tournament title led by medalist Trinity Beth who shot a 4-under 66. Katie Roberts finished fifth with a round of 72, CeCelia Roberts 78 for 12th place, Skylar Waller shot 89 to tie for 22nd and Elsie Riley finished 30th with 94.
The team will tee it up again today at 1:00 in the Marshall County Invitational at Calvert City Country Club.
Trinity Beth (right) took first on Monday with a 4-under par 66 and Katie Robert shot 72 to finish fifth in the first tournament of the season for the Lady Marshals.
