Marshals open 2022 golf season with win

It may still be July but the 2022 Marshall County High School golf team has already kicked off their season with a win on Friday at the Ben Hawes Golf Course in Daviess County under the direction of new head coach David Morris.

With a team score of 299, the Marshals topped the field of 19 teams and beat second place Trigg County by 12 strokes.

Marshall County’s David Jack Morris finished tied for first with Trigg County’s Hunter Reynolds, both shooting 2-under par rounds of 69. On the second playoff hole, Reynolds took the individual title win.

Rounding out team scores for Marshall County, Trey Wall finished tied for fourth with 73, Ryan Stokes tied for eighth with 76, Logan Davis shot 81 and Paxton Carter 88.
