Piper McClain and Heather Risher, current graduates of Marshall County High School, were recognized as the 2022 winners of the Pat and Bobby Cole Scholarship at a recent meeting of the Marshall County Republican Women. Sarah Telle, a former scholarship recipient, addressed the group encouraging the young ladies to stand strong in their conservative beliefs as they enter into their college career. She challenged them to be goal oriented and chose their path to achieve their goals.
Piper has chosen to attend Murray State University with a major in Political Science. Her parents are Crystal and Brian McClain. Her grandmother, Bobbie Borders also attended the event to help Piper celebrate.
Heather has chosen to attend Taylor University with an Undecided major for now and a minor in Worship Arts. Her mother is Alison Risher. Her sister, Kaylee, attended the event with Heather.
The 2023 Pat and Bobby Cole Scholarship sponsored by Marshall County Republican Women is available for Senior Girls graduating from any recognized Marshall County High School. Specific qualifications and application information will be available in December 2022.
