Ronnie Lee Gelso, 60, of Metropolis, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Metropolis Nursing and Rehab.
Ronnie was known for his sense of humor. He always knew the right things to say to make those around him laugh when they needed it. He had amazing craftmanship when it came to woodworking. Ronnie was a member of Community Christian Church in Metropolis.
Ronnie is survived by two daughters, Katie Leeann Gelso and Paige Alyssya Lea Gelso; one brother, Michael Gelso; two grandchildren, Julia Lyric Cherry and Zahcari Maddox Hines; one niece, Rachel Lee Gelso; and several cousins.
Preceding Ronnie in death are his parents, Ronald and JoAnn Gelso.
A memorial service will be held Friday, July 8, 2022 at 3:00 pm at Community Christian Church in Metropolis. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
