WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congressman James Comer (R-Ky.) recognized Keeley Butler for completing her summer internship in his Washington, D.C. office. While in her role, Keeley spent time answering constituent inquiries, researching legislative issues, and assisting in the daily operations of the office.
“I want to thank Keeley for her dedicated service this summer to Kentucky’s First Congressional District. Her work was crucial and helped ensure our operations always ran smoothly. I know this talented group has a bright future ahead of them, and I look forward to seeing each of their achievements,” Congressman Comer said.
Keeley Butler, a Marshall County native, is pursuing a degree in Political Science and minor in Professional Writing from Murray State University. In her free time, Butler is a passionate reader.
“Interning for Congressman Comer was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I will cherish forever. I am so thankful to the Congressman and his wonderful staff for welcoming me to Capitol Hill. I have learned so much about our nation’s government, and I am so grateful for such a unique opportunity,” Butler said.
In Congressman Comer’s Washington, DC office, internships run throughout the fall, spring, or summer semesters for college students. The hours are flexible to accommodate students’ course schedules.
