Billy Gene Cronin, 93, of Paducah, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Paducah.
Bill was born in Paris, Tennessee on July 26, 1928 to the late William and Lilly Sturdivant Cronin. He was a member of Arcadia United Methodist Church. Bill retired from Union Carbide where he worked as a General Foreman Maintenance Coordinator. He loved to be outdoors and was an avid fisherman and golfer. Bill was also a very gifted athlete during his youth and would later be inducted into the Paris, Tennessee High School Football Hall of Fame.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Linda McLeod of Paducah; his son, Bob (Laurie) Cronin of Paducah; two grandchildren, Shane (Robin) Hendon of Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Katie Cronin of Paducah; and two great-grandchildren, Gabe and Ansley Hendon.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Jean Cronin; and his parents.
No services are scheduled at this time. Milner & Orr Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
