Keith D. Walker ended his earthly battle with kidney disease on June 14, 2022 at the age of 59.
Keith was a long-time resident of the Lovelaceville community and a member of Lovelaceville Missionary Baptist Church.
From the age of 18, Keith worked in the river industry. He began as a deckhand and retired as Chief Engineer. While Keith didn’t have much, he would give everything he had to help anyone in need. His home was often filled with relatives and friends who needed a place to stay. He loved with everything he had.
Keith is survived by his wife, Barbara Snodgrass Walker; two daughters, Shawna Walker Beavers and Mindy Walker Joiner (Chris) as well as three step-children, Greg Funke, Samantha Jude (Greg), and Aaron Funke (Amber); his mother, Jeanette Walker Roberts and step-father, Donald Roberts; his step-mother, Sandy Walker; one sister, Donna Walker Babcock (Ken); three step-sisters, Savonna Lomas, Brittany Puckett, and Chere Hampton; two step-brothers Dale Roberts and Mark Roberts; two grandchildren, five step-grandchildren; plus several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny M. Walker; mother-in-law, Ethel Snodgrass, father-in-law, Robert Snodgrass, and stepson, Jimmy Funke.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 18th at the Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Whitey Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at the Lovelaceville Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the service time of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
