Evelyn Virginia Pfingston Dismore, 86, died of natural causes June 13, 2022, at Princeton Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born July 23,1935, in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Major Samuel Pfingston and Ruby Mae Martin Pfingston.
Evelyn enjoyed genealogical research and authored several books about the Pfingston and Martin families as well as Marshall County history.
Evelyn is survived by her son, Michael Paul O’Risky of Mt. Vernon, Indiana (Pam); one daughter, Tamara Faye O’Risky Elrod of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; three grandsons, Todd Neuman of Gilbertsville, Kentucky; Ty Elrod of Louisville, Kentucky; and Bryan O’Risky of Mt. Vernon, Indiana; three great grandchildren, Hailey Sullivan, Gregory Rodgers, and Joel O’Risky; and three great great grandchildren, Gabrielle Rodgers, Mayli Sullivan, and Gia Rodgers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Rubi Briggs; and one brother, Bert Pfingston.
