
Charles “Skeeter” Dennis Lindsey, age 94, of Bardwell, Kentucky passed away on Monday, June 6, 2022 at Baptist Health Paducah.
Mr. Lindsey was born in Arlington, Kentucky on February 27, 1928 to the late Joseph and Lillian Lindsey. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force before retiring from a 33 year career with the United States Labor Departement where he was the Maintenance Superintendent over Water and Power at Martin Marietta. Charles was an active member of Bardwell Baptist Church, Laketon Hunting and Fishing Club and was a frequent visitor of Wednesday night dinner at the West Bardwell Hunting Club. His hobbies were fishing, gardening, picking pecans and tinkering in his shed, but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family.
He will be remembered for his fun-loving personality, his tender heart, his love for his church and for the love he showed his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Charles is survived by his daughter, Melissa K. Brown (A. Franklin) of Spring, Texas; his two sons, Michael L. Lindsey (Monica) of Bardwell and Brent Lindsey (Jody) of Paducah; six grandchildren, Derick Lindsey (Savara), Jessica Galloway (Matthew), Jacob Brown, Ben Brown, Tyler Brown and Justin Lindsey; three great-grandchildren, Lindsey Jane Galloway, Knox Lindsey and Drew Lindsey; and two step-grandchildren, Joseph Elliott and Betsy Elliott.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Agnes Polivick Lindsey; one son, Charles Kevin Lindsey; one sister, Theda Bobo; and three brothers, Joe Lindsey, Tommy Lindsey and Milton Lindsey.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell with Rev. Jason Burnett officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until the 1:00 pm service time on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell.
