
Burnice “Ray” Maddox, 76, of Benton passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at his home.
Ray was born on April 5, 1946 in Marshall County to the late Luther Burnice Maddox and Vena Yates Maddox. He worked as a chemical operator at the PennWalt plant in Calvert City for many years before retiring. Ray was a simple man who loved spending time with his family more than anything else.
He is survived by his two daughter, Rainie Lee of Murray and RaeAnne Carroll (Shane) of Benton; one step daughter, Megan Spiceland; one step son, Michael Spiceland; two brothers, Luther Wayne Maddox and Wavel Eugene Maddox; eight grandchildren, Stefany Carroll, Shellby Adams (Matt), Mikel Carroll, Derek Lee (Tori), Travis Lee (Sarah), Kristen Lee, Serenity Spiceland, and Navaeh Spiceland; and one great grandchild, Harrison Lee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Maddox; and his parents.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Marshall County Memory Garden with Bro. Gary Bloomingburg officiating and burial to follow.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 29, 2022 at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
