Mrs. Dorris Jean Wilford, age 85, of Hickory passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY.
She was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church and a retired employee of Ingersoll Rand.
Mrs. Wilford is survived by one son, Jimmy (Marcy) Wilford of Mayfield, KY; one daughter, Carolyn Ann Wilford of Hickory, KY; three brothers, Tom Gold, Richard Gold and Troy Gold all of California; one sister, Linda Pearl Souza of California; ten grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester “Jimmy” Wilford, Jr.; two sons, Robert “Rawhide” Wilford and Danny Eugene Wilford; one daughter, Nadine Wilford; one grandson, Trevyn Chase Wilford; one brother, Theodore Meyer Gold; her parents, Morris and Billie Cope and Agnes and Thomas Gold.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dorris Jean Wilford will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield, KY. Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Ivie, Devyn West, Nathyn Wilford, Trestan McClure, Drew Gore, Kaleb Gore, Ayden Smith and Kylen Smith.
Visitation will be 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2022 at the funeral home.
