Traffic Stop Leads to Felony Drug Arrest

On May 7^th at approximately 1:00pm, a Deputy with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Old Mayfield Rd. near the intersection of Rosewood Dr. The vehicle was a 1992 Chevrolet pick-up truck driven by 50-year-old Jeffrey A. Houser of Paducah, KY.

During the investigation, it was discovered that Houser was in possession of a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine, Marijuana, digital weight scales, numerous amounts of new/unused clear plastic baggies, money believed to be proceeds from illegal drug trafficking, and several items related to Drug Paraphernalia.

Records indicate that Houser has an extensive criminal history involving prior convictions regarding Methamphetamine. Houser is currently out on bond stemming from a prior Methamphetamine related charge from March of this year.

Houser was arrested and lodged at the McCracken County Regional Jail.

• Speeding 26mph or >
• Reckless Driving
• No Registration Receipt
• No Insurance Card
• Operating on Suspended or Revoked License
• Failure to Wear Seatbelt
• Trafficking in Cont. Subs. 1^st Offense > 2grams, (Methamphetamine)
• Possession of Marijuana
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
