
Wrapping up their regular season matches this week, the tennis team celebrated their six seniors Tuesday following a home match against the West Kentucky Homeschool team. Thursday will be the final match against Murray before preparing for the regional tournament that begins on May 15.
Against the Homeschool team, Delaney Miller won her match 8-1 over Marianna Hereford. Emma Kate Whirley lost 6-8 to Jaye Williams and the doubles team of Courtney Phillips and Alyssa McClain won 8-1 over Hereford and Williams.
In the boys’ singles play, Kian Court lost 1-8 to Abel Prude, Rush Robinson lost 1-8 to Micah Prude, Jameson Wells won 8-1 over Noah French and Andrew Petitt won 8-0 over Wyatt Riley. In doubles play, Court and Robinson lost 3-8 to Abel Prude and Micah Prude and Wells and Petitt won 8-0 over French and Riley.
