On April 22, 2022, A Deputy with the McCracken County Sheriff’s
Office was monitoring traffic in the East Sector of the County. The
Deputy observed a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed outbound on
Clarks River Road. The Deputy was able to catch up to the speeding
vehicle at about KY Dam Road as he initiated his emergency lights and
siren. The vehicle failed to yield. Marshall County Sheriff’s Office
was made aware of the fleeing vehicle prior to the vehicle crossing
the County line. McCracken County Deputies lost contact with the
fleeing vehicle as he turned onto Little Cypress Road. Deputies
terminated active pursuit but stayed in the area. The fleeing vehicle
was located on Shar-Cal Road in a ditch a short time after termination
of the pursuit. The driver of the vehicle was 32-year-old Xavier Lee
Robinson of Memphis, TN. Robinson is a convicted felon and was found
to be in possession of a handgun. Robinson was taken into custody and
was lodged in the McCracken Regional Jail.
