William “Bill” LeMaster, 71

William “Bill” LeMaster, 71, of Benton, formerly of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

Bill was born in Daviess County, Kentucky on February 14, 1951.  He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his grandkids.  After four years of proud service in the United States Coast Guard, Bill served on Atlantic Beach, North Carolina Police Department. He went on to work for nearly 40 years in the trucking industry as a dispatch driver and terminal manager before retiring from Time DC.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Darlene Calhoun LeMaster of Benton; one daughter, Jeanna LeMaster and fiancé, Eddie Simpson of Indianapolis, IN; one son, Steven LeMaster and wife, Kathleen of Indianapolis, IN; one sister, Margaret Harris of Ripley, OH; three brothers, Norman Lemaster (Lisa) of Havana, IL, Roy Kyle (Nelda) of Benton, Glenn Kyle (Terry) of Clay, AL; four grandchildren, Althea Lemaster, Russell Lemaster, Jackson Lemaster and Andrew Lemaster, all of Indianapolis, IN.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donation in Bill’s name to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
