Stanley Phelps of Robards, KY, formerly of Marshall County, KY, passed away March 29, 2022 at at his residence.
Stanley attended the Altona Baptist Church here in Marshall County, before moving to the city of Robards. In his younger years he was an avid hunter and fishermen. He also enjoyed listening to 60’s era music and watching old westerns.
Stanley was no stranger to service for others, as he was an Army veteran and served his country proudly during the Vietnam War. Mr. Phelps was also a long time member of the United Steel workers Union, Local 878.
A proud father and grandfather, he leaves behind two sons, Andrew Phelps (Erin) and Matthew Phelps (Gabriela); A brother, Barry Phelps and two grandchildren Allie Phelps and Nathan Phelps.
Stanley was preceded in death by his parents Arnold Phelps, Jr. and Betty Vied Phelps.
A funeral service for Stanley will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at Filbeck & Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr with Bro. C.C. Brasher officiating. Burial will follow at Fooks Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 6 2022 at Filbeck & Cann Funeral Home of Milner & Orr.
