This was a Marshall Livestock semi-truck and trailer hauling approximately 56 head of cattle. Thankfully the driver was not seriously injured. Unfortunately, 4 head of cattle died as a result of this incident. All of the remaining cattle were successfully off-loaded. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and Eddyville Fire Dept. are on the scene of an overturned cattle truck on US 641 North. The state highway department will have the roadway shut down from the intersection of US 62 until KY 1943. Please use an alternate route.
