Born Saturday, November 2, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of the late Lasalle Waltz Norton and the late Opal (Wyatt) Norton.
Surviving are sons, Robert Norton Jr. of Symsonia, KY, step-sons, Gary Darnall, wife Millie of Hardin, KY, Dennis Darnall, wife Amanda of Mayfield, KY and Marvin Darnall, wife Angie of Clarksville, TN, daughters, Deanna King of Dyer, TN, Lisa Bobbitt, husband Bobby of Milan, TN, Debbie Keathley of Milan, TN, Linda Horner of Milan, TN and step-daughter, Jeannie Lee, husband Mike of Benton, KY, 24 grandchildren, 25 plus great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Norton and step-daughter, Debbie Stephens.
A Funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with Rev. Scott Penick officiating.
Interment will follow in Wallace Cemetery, Benton, KY.
Visitation will be held between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Collier Funeral Home.
