Alice Kissiar, 76

Alice Kissiar, 76, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.

Alice was born on September 7, 1945 to Brown and Mary Margaret Trevathan. She was a member at Faith Missionary Baptist and previously a youth director at Bethlehem Baptist. Alice wore many hats through the years that included being a nurse’s aide, Tupperware Regional Manager, and owned the “Old Country Store’ antique store in Barlow. She was most known for her work as a DJ at WBCE radio. Alice was awarded the “Golden Mic” from the Singing News in 2018 for her work in radio. She spent her days on Earth being a witness for the Lord and prayer warrior. Alice was kind, caring, and helpful woman who made time for everyone. She was the epitome of what God’s love would look like and loved to feed people.

Alice is survived by her son, David (Amy) Kissiar of Wickliffe; her daughter, Margie (Kevin) Schissler of Wickliffe; one daughter-in-law, Donna Kissiar of Caulfield, MO.; one brother, Billy (Ganeen) Trevathan; grandchildren: Gerald (Melissa) Sells, Matthew (Sheri) Kissiar, Patrick Sells, Jennifer (Tyler) Kissiar, Alex Kitt, Alicen (Derek) Noe, Drew Kitt, Shane Lair, and Austin Kissiar,; great grandchildren: Hali Kissiar, Ali Kissiar, Logan Kissiar, Brayden Sells, Oliver Kissiar, Michael Lair, Everly Lair, Mia Cannon, Cole Cannon, Josh (Kendra) Basham, Michael Pearson, and Jeremy Basham; four great great grandchildren, Ember Thomas, Nichaligh Pearson, Aria Pearson, and Logan Basham; and several nieces and nephews.

Alice was preceded in death by the father of her children, Ernie Kissiar; one son, Lynn Kissiar; two daughters, Cathy Kissiar and Jeanne Kitt; her three sisters: Sue Kissiar, Linda Thomason, and Faye Crews; four brothers: Jimmy Trevathan, Terry Trevathan, Bobby Trevathan, and Donnie Trevathan; and one grandson, Michael Kissiar.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Milner & Orr of Wickliffe with Bro. Larry Logsdon officiating. Burial will follow at the Berkley Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM on March 19, 2022 at Milner & Orr of Wickliffe.
