Mrs. Brenda Lou (Reynolds) Simpson, age 71 of New Concord, KY, passed away March 4, 2022, at Skyline Medical Center, Nashville, TN.
Born September 23, 1950, in McKenzie, TN, she was the daughter of the late Columbus Mayo and Mary Elizabeth (Arnold) Reynolds. Brenda was a homemaker, a Christian and was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are her children, Tammy Woodard of Morganton, NC, Steven Simpson of New Concord, KY, and Timothy Simpson of New Concord, KY; sisters, Elizabeth Ann (Reynolds) Cook of Lavina, TN, Rita (Reynolds) Webb of Midlothian, TX, Patricia Lynn (Reynolds) Holliday of Heartland, TX; brother, Kenneth Reynolds of Murray, KY. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Ashley Johnson, Stephanie Fielder, Tiffany Simpson, Steven Earl Simpson, Jr., Emily Simpson, Brandon Simpson, Johnny Simpson, Jr., Elizabeth Mathis, Timothy Woodard and Joseph Simpson. Also surviving are 9 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 51 years, Steve Simpson; son, Johnny Simpson, Sr.; brother, Thomas Harold Reynolds, Sr.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home in Murray, KY, Rev. Ronnie Burkeen will officiate. Interment will take place in the Hicks Cemetery following the service.
Friends may visit with the family after 12:00 noon on Sunday, March 6, 2022, until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. at the Blalock-Coleman Funeral Home.
