Kevil Couple Charged With Drug Offenses

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Kevil couple Thursday afternoon on numerous drug offenses on the parking lot of the McCracken County Courthouse.

On Thursday afternoon (3-3-22) drug detectives received a tip from a McCracken County Deputy Jailer that Landon Griffin and Cami Bowerman were at the McCracken County Courthouse for court and that they might have illegal drugs in their vehicle.

Detectives located the vehicle on the parking lot of the courthouse. Sheriff’s Office K-9 “Oscar” alerted the presence of illegal drugs coming from the inside of the vehicle. Landon Griffin and Cami Bowerman were located a short time later. Deputies searched the vehicle and located approximately 150 suspected Fentanyl pills, Marijuana, and several THC vape cartridges packaged for sale. Griffin and Bowerman were arrested.

Bowerman attempted to take a small amount of Fentanyl inside the jail after her arrest that was found by deputy jailers.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for the couple’s residence located at 3575 Roberts Road in the Kevil area of McCracken County. During a search of the residence detectives located additional Marijuana,  approximately 100 THC vapes and money believed to be proceeds of illegal drug sales. While detectives were searching the residence, Michael Timmons (Griffin’s father) and Christi Clark arrived home. Both Timmons and Clark were cited for Marijuana and paraphernalia that was located inside their portion of the home.

Griffin and Bowerman were lodged at the McCracken County Regional Jail.

The seized drugs in this case have an estimated street value of more than $5,000

Arrested: Landon M. Griffin 19, of Roberts Road Kevil, KY

Charges: Trafficking in Fentanyl, Trafficking in Marijuana over eight ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia

Arrested: Cami M. Bowerman 21, of Roberts Road Kevil, KY

Charges: Trafficking in Fentanyl, Trafficking in Marijuana less then eight ounces, promoting contraband and possession of drug paraphernalia

Cited: Michael P. Timmons 42, of Roberts Road Kevil, KY

Charges: Possession of Marijuana and Drug paraphernalia

Cited: Christi M. Clark 44, of Roberts Road Kevil, KY

Charges: Possession of Marijuana and Drug paraphernalia
