Mr. Wm. David “Tiny” Castleberry, 73

Mr. Wm. David “Tiny” Castleberry, 73 of Benton, Kentucky, died Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice center in Paducah, Kentucky.

Born February 19th, 1949 to the late William Clint and Nola Earlene (Brown) Castleberry, Mr. Castleberry retired as a maintenance worker with the city of Benton, Kentucky after 27 years of service. He was a member of Sharpe Missionary Baptist Church and an Army Veteran of the Vietnam conflict serving from 1969 until 1970. Mr. Castleberry left Benton High School due to military service and later completed his GED and then was awarded a diploma from the Marshall County Board of Education. He served as a Boy Scout leader from 1991 until 2003 and was the father of two Eagle Scouts. He was also a former firefighter with the Palma-Briensburg Fire Department.

Mr. Castleberry is survived by his wife of 51 years, Winnie (Fowler) Castleberry; two sons, William David (Laura) Castleberry, Jr. of Murray, Kentucky, and Robert Clint (Cara) Castleberry of Bowling Green, Kentucky; two daughters, Wanda Castleberry of Calvert City, Kentucky, and Donna (Michael) Owens of Benton, Kentucky; eight grandchildren, Shelby Castleberry, Aiden Castleberry, Jack Castleberry, Sam Castleberry, Trevor Castleberry, Sophie Castleberry, MaKenna Owens, and Robert Higgins; 14 foster grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26th, 2022 at Collier Funeral Home, 211 West Fifth Street, Benton, Kentucky. William Castleberry, Jr. and Monte Hodges will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, February 25th, 2022 at the funeral home.
