with the event for victims of the December tornado.

Chapman told West Kentucky Star the event was everything he could have hoped for and more.

“We had a lot of folks there that were hit directly by the tornado and the loss. I heard many stories of just how encouraged and blessed they were by it. Hopefully the whole community felt it,” Chapman said.

Chapman, a Paducah native, said it was so good to be back home and participating in something that will have such a positive impact on the Mayfield residents that have lost so much.

“I thank everybody for making it such a special night for me, such a special night for the folks that are hurting and suffering in that area.” Chapman continued, “If nothing else, it will remind me for a long time to keep praying for and loving on you guys there.”

The show also featured Kentucky native Ricky Skaggs, Kentucky Christian music artist Jason Crabb, and Restless Heart frontman and fellow Paducah native Larry Stewart.

Proceeds from the concert are donated to Samaritan’s Purse to help with the work they’re doing for western Kentucky storm victims.

Several sponsors helped to make the event possible, including Beltline, The State Group, Fourteen Foods, Dairy Queen, Baptist Health, Golden Rules Signs, WKYQ, US Bank in Paducah, Price Foundation, Coca-Cola Consolidated, Atmos of Paducah, Michelson Jewelers, Strawberry Hills Pharmacy, Mercy Chefs, Chic-Fil-A, KLOVE, and more.
